I wanted to learn to dance Texas Two-Step. The Two-Step is a partner dance, consisting of a “leader “(traditionally a man) and a "follower" (traditionally a woman). The leader determines the movements and patterns of the pair as they move around the dance floor. It is a progressive dance that proceeds counterclockwise around the floor. So I flew to Austin, the music capital of Texas, to learn classic Texas Two-Step combined with Western Swing from Miss Terri White at the Broken Spoke, the legendary dance hall established by her father, James White, in 1964. In 2012, Terri was voted #1 Best Country Dance Instructor by Texas Monthly magazine
