Great Balls of Fire!
The original script and story board called for only one scene featuring the key actors reveling to some bars of music from the Jerry Lee Lewis song "Great Balls of Fire" followed by conversation, drink and food at a corner table next to the juke box. The walls were decorated with Blair's memorabilia from his home state of Kansas. The film crew added some U.S. Navy ship's baseball caps for a sailor's ambience.
Before the film's release that year, director Tony Scott modified the film's last scene to have Tom Cruise returning to the bar only to be greeted by former lover Kelly McGillis dropping a coin into the juke box and playing the song "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" thus surprising Tom Cruise. It was a needed nostalgic and romantic last scene.
