The Casements, is the restored former winter retirement home of John D. Rockefeller, founder of Standard Oil Company. Built in 1914, on the island of Ormond Beach, Florida. It was purchased by Rockefeller as his winter retirement home in 1918. He lived here from age 78, till his death at age 98. The name "Casements" comes from the window design throughout the home. A beautiful restoration, by the City of Ormond Beach, of a classic home design. The home is open to daily tours.
