This state park is home to the West Indian manatees all year round. The park features an underwater observatory over the deep main spring fissure where you can observe the manatees and local fish.
It also features a park deeply shaded by oak and cypress trees where you can view black bears, Florida panthers, deer, fowl and many other animals native to this area of Florida.
You have the choice of riding a tram or boat from the visitor's center to the animal park and spring.
