The Ragged Point Inn & Resort is perched high a top a cliff 350 feet above the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean. Each guest room has a private patio that offers breathtaking views of the ocean from this cliff outcropping . The rooms also have full glass walls facing out to the patio panorama. Rooms are available with vaulted ceilings in king or two double bed arrangements with a small wet bar and bathroom. The property also has a gift shop including personal items, snacks and beverages. There is a spacious lawn and garden bordered with flower beds and tall towering California Redwood trees. The restaurant offers fine dining with an outdoor glass walled patio. The venue offers an opportunity for a uniquely private and breathtaking site for relaxation and romance. It is located in a remote section of the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway 1 in the Big Sur area between Carmel and San Luis Obispo. Only a 20 minute drive south and you arrive at the Hearst Castle for a half day of touring the finest in 20th Century opulence. My good friend Carmen a.k.a. "Chuqui" followed my recommendation and enjoyed her honeymoon at the Ragged Point Inn & Resort. My stay was alone but remembered the rest of my life, and possibly return some day for the romance.
