We drove to the end of the Mount Evans Scenic Byway this morning. It is the highest paved road in North America, climbing 9,000 feet in elevation above Denver. Followed by a short hike to the summit at 14,264 feet for a breathtaking view of the front range of the Rockies and the other Fourteeners along the continental divide. The weather was clear and 53F at the summit, 92F in Denver. There, we were greeted by some of the friendly white locals going about their business.
