Standing at the crossroads

Standing at the crossroads

In the parting shot of the movie, Tom Hanks stood here at the center of the crossroads of Ranch Road 48 and Farm to Market Road 1268 located about 5 miles south of the Arrington Ranch House. Casting a gaze in the direction of where Bettina had driven off to, he smiled and knew which road to follow. Ashley rewrote her lines in our film recreation. Her last line read "And if you head back that direction (she points north in the direction of the ranch house) you'll find a whole lot of nothing all the way to Canada (a veiled reference to the next town, Canadian, Texas) John replies "I got it". Ashley: "Well alright then". Ashley then climbs into the Corvette, and says "Good luck cowboy". Then she drives away.
