A gentleman is wise to know there are formal cultural rituals, graduations, weddings and funerals to name a few, that allow us the opportunity to dress in a special way. It allows a man to dress in something more substantial than the casual clothes or work related business attire. To dress formal "Black Tie" has a specific traditionally acceptable meaning in the western world. The very definition of formal is the preserving of "form" or tradition. But for specific details of such attire we are often dependent on the advice of uneducated and ignorant sales people at men's clothing stores and tuxedo rental shops.

I was invited to attend a special friend's wedding. One day, I was listening to the ZZ TOP recording "Sharp Dressed Man" and pondering what to wear to the wedding. Having achieved a target weight and level of physical fitness, I wanted to celebrate the achievement by attending her wedding in my own formal "Black Tie" attire.

I found an excellent source of information on dressing the form and share it with those who may want to enjoy the same experience. http://blacktieguide.com

My thanks to Mrs. LaDonna Campbell, professional dance instructor and owner of the Titusville Downtown Dance Studio, for her assistance in posing and photography. Special thanks to lovely model and friend, Janet Jones, for posing with me. Janet is the owner of LaCita Salon and Spa in Titusville, Florida.
