Watching a rocket launch is always an exciting event to witness, especially a launch at night. Although today's rockets are not nearly as spectacular as the Space Shuttle and Saturn V vehicles, they still are a unique experience. The year 2020 was historic, with the return to space of U.S. astronauts for the first time since the end of the Space Shuttle program in 2011. In 2022, NASA successfully launched Artemis 1, the first of the SLS (Space Launch System) unmanned missions to the moon since Apollo in the 1970's.
