The launch of NASA’s Artemis 1, the first of the new SLS (Space Launch System) moon rockets lifted off from Kennedy Space Center's Space Launch Complex 39B at 1:47 AM EST, 16 November, 2022. The enormous vehicle, carrying an unmanned Orion capsule, began a 25-day test flight to lay a path for humans to return to the nearest celestial body for the first time in a half century. Congratulations to the NASA and the team of contractors that made it happen.
